The SDV 52 datawall system has been designed using Digital Light Processing™ technology by Texas Instruments to display a fully digital 1600 x 1200 true resolution in a 2x2 datawall configuration. SIM2 projection cube is one of the slimmest around today, with a 45°C mirror to reduce depth to an amasing 80 cm (31") for space-saving installations.
    The SDV 52, based on a 52" Digital Micromirror Device™ projection unit and a graphic picture processors, is integrated by a fully digital source-to-screen link for artefacts-free images. Relying on the flat panel technology, the fully digital link avoids unnecessary signal processing and reproduces bright pictures in their native digital quality. The SDV 52 delivers crisp computer and video images with a simple pixel-precise adjustment process.
    With a native resolution of SVGA (800 x 600 pixels) the SDV 52 can display a true 1600x1200 resolution in a 2x2 datawall configuration. The key characteristics for the success of a datawall are superb image quality and white uniformity. SIM2 provides top quality images through a fully digital technology, DLP™ high brightness, and a special screen to avoid Moire effects. Control and simulation rooms are ideal locations to exploit the SDV 52 impressive high resolution and high brightness.
    With the SDV 52 picture settings are simplicity itself. Mechanical regulations range from ready-to-go simplicity to a total of six different adjustments. A detachable screen ensures easy in-wall installations and safe transportation. Where ease of set-up and reliability in rough environments are key issues, the new technology will deliver. SIM2 has paid particular attention to the rental applications, optimising the SDV 52 to reduce set-up time: events will be up and running with the brightest results in no time.
    The Graphic Distribution Unit (GDU) comes with multiple inputs, up-gradability (19 slots for input/output boards) and digital effects, such as zooming an image through the single unit.
